Description
Handcrafted by Kamakura ceramic artist Kifumi Kawamura, this limited-edition Reiwa Cup was created in 2020 to honor the beginning of the Reiwa era. Reiwa translates to “beautiful harmony”.
Carved with the character 令和 inside the vessel, each piece carries a quiet presence and a sense of celebration. Its shallow, open shape makes it ideal for sake, tea tastings, or as a small serving dish to accompany seasonal dishes.
Every piece is individually shaped and fired, resulting in natural variations in size, color, and texture — the hallmark of Kawamura’s handmade work.
This cup was made exclusively for Ki-Chu New York and is available in very limited quantities.
Dimensions
Diameter: 4 1/4" (10.9 cm)
Height: 1 1/4" (3.2 cm)
Included
Comes with a signed wooden box (tomobako) by the artist.
