The Art of Living with Japan
A Private Cultural Experience for New York Clients
The Art of Living with Japan is a private, ongoing cultural offering designed for individuals who wish to engage with Japanese culture as a way of living—not as a one-time experience.
Through quiet tea gatherings, thoughtful conversation, and curated guidance, this service brings Japanese sensibility into your life before, during, and after a journey to Japan. It is created for those who value depth, refinement, and presence in how they live, travel, and return.
A Continuous Journey: Before / During / After
Before — Preparing with Clarity and Ease
Before traveling, we begin with a private tea gathering in New York.
Through the ritual of tea, guests are gently introduced to Japanese aesthetics, spiritual sensibility, and essential cultural context. This creates calm, clarity, and a natural understanding that allows Japan to be experienced with greater depth and confidence.
During — Curated Access in Japan (by request)
For those who wish, introductions can be made to trusted partners in Japan who curate meaningful cultural encounters beyond standard tourism. These experiences are discreet, intentional, and aligned with the client’s personal interests.
After — Integrating Japan into Daily Life
After returning, the journey continues through private tea gatherings. Guests are guided in integrating the objects, memories, and sensibilities they brought back from Japan into their everyday life in New York—allowing the experience to unfold quietly over time, rather than fade.
Quiet Luxury & Personalization
Each gathering is intimate and unhurried.
Ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Kyoto, is served in handcrafted tea bowls by ceramic artist Kifumi Kawamura of Kamakura, alongside seasonal Japanese sweets.
Rather than formality, the focus is on presence—creating space for reflection, conversation, and a deeper connection to the spiritual values at the heart of Japanese culture.
